Italian Garden Wedding Inspiration

Alexandra Meseke Photography and Honeydew Events invited me to take part in this lovely inspiration for an Italian garden wedding. Bright, summery flowers from Flowerwell, the setting: gardens of a private home– featuring stonework and spectacular perennials, and Italian limoncello inspired this relaxed, elegant cocktail party wedding.

Handmade papers and relaxed watercolors grace the invitation. I chose to create an oversized envelope from marbled handmade melon-colored paper with vintage stamps so guests would immediately feel the thoughtful, romantic tone of the wedding.

The invitation features layered papers and watercolor scenes of the venue’s gardens. A venue illustration is one of my favorite details to include in a wedding invitation: It becomes a keepsake of the wedding day and when guests arrive at the wedding, they draw the connection to the first piece of correspondence they received.
