Watercolor birds, butterflies and a splash of yellow at your new fav venue in the Finger lakes
Drive along Seneca lake just a few minutes east of Geneva and you’ll find yourself in front of the prettiest brick farmhouse overlooking pastures, farmers fields, and the sparkling blue lake. If you’ve made your way through Stone Fruit’s archives of work, you’ve certainly seen work by the amazing Alexandra Meseke Photography and lucky us, Alexandra and her husband/ biz partner, Michael, are the duo behind this new wedding venue. I’m so glad to have been invited to be a part of dressing their space up in order to show it off to couples.
This curved staircase is going to be THE spot for portraits.
The Seneca Ridge makes for pretty amazing welcome on its own, but just add flowers and a linen fabric sign (preferably taller than I am!) and your guests will know they’re in for something special!
I love a special paper anything, but dinner menus are a great place to focus energy and creativity because in addition to being functional, they act as table decor and your guests are guaranteed to pick a menu up and interact with it.
Flowerwell created this magical floral meadow for a welcome dinner table featuring a collection of Petunia Rose’s amazing tableware styled by Celebrated Events. Our die-cut layered dinner menus feature a watercolor of Seneca lake.
Relaxed elegance is the natural tone of The Seneca Ridge and our couple lived up to that beautifully in a classic custom black tux and this stunning off-the-shoulder gown from Lovely Bride Rochester.
A costume change and we step outside to the beautiful field with lake views and the most gorgeous sunset! I love to imagine all the dreamy cocktail hours and sunset photo sessions that couples will enjoy here. We imagined a pretty sweetheart table setup out here, too.
Another layered menu, this time in an oval to mimic the invitation’s reply card, was Stone Fruit’s contribution to this beautiful table, and the bar features a linen flag with the couple’s watercolor monogram. These are one of my favorite kinds of pieces to make because they become a lovely keepsake to hang in your home after the wedding day.
Another good moment for my fabric fabric lovers: this custom tea towel in a repeating pattern I created from the goldfinch and butterfly motifs found in the rest of the stationery.
